Get Lit Players BLITZ LA High Schools with POETRY!!!

 Well we have a full schedule this December and wanted to keep you in the loop!  The Get Lit Players will be performing at 10 high schools - 13 or 14 performances (sometimes 2 at a school.) This part of our year is MOST important! Rather than hosting 1 show reaching x amount of kids – we reach THOUSANDS of kids and take the Get Lit Players to kids who might NEVER get to see poetry or other teens performing or be exposed to the arts otherwise!!! 1. John R. Wooden High   – Monday, December 4th 

2. Zane Grey High  – Monday, December 4th 

3. Fairfax High - Friday, December 11th (2 shows) 

4. Van Nuys High  – Monday, December 14th (2 shows) 

5. LACES High  – Wednesday, December 16th  

6. Franklin High – Wednesday, December 

7. Paramount High - Thursday, December 17th (2 shows)

8. Hamilton High – Friday, December 18th 

9. Camino Nuevo High – Friday, December 18th 

10. El Rancho High – Tuesday, March, 2nd (2 shows) 

The shows are very interactive with performances of classic poetry, original poetry, call and response with the audience, dialogue about the classic poets they perform and the meaning of some of the poems, and an open mic at the end where students from the audience come up on stage and share their poetry.
