Read This!

Read This! Is Get Lit’s official in school book club. Read This! Meets once a week on campus to read aloud a selected book from Get Lit’s ‘Read This’ list. Weekly meetings will review and discuss the selected book in detail. Books and materials are paid for by the school and distributed to the students on their first day of the workshop. The students are required to bring the book with them to each session until complete. Class culminates with each student writing a letter to the author of the book which are then collected and discussed.

I think that when students are allowed to reach such powerful and meaningful literature it helps you understand life a little better.
