Juan Gavidia
Juan is a board Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a doctoral candidate at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. He specializes in working with pre-teens, teens, adults who are experiencing psychological conditions ranging from anxiety, stress, depression, grief, and sudden behavior changes. He also works with people who are experiencing the weight of life transitions that are part of the aging and growing up experience. He has been in the field for ten (10) years in various roles and has learned from working with a diverse group of individuals in private practice, community mental health, schools and other settings. Most recently, Mr. Gavidia has been elected to the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (CAMFT) Board of directors and is excited to continue to be an advocate for the expansion of mental health access and education in underserved communities.
Juan Gavidia has been a therapist since 2014, licensed in 2016, having worked his way from a case manager, to pre-licensed therapist at a community mental health clinic, to fully licensed and in private practice. His experience working with low income families, monolingual Spanish-speaking families, refugees and other marginalized communities ignites his passion for the work he does, love for the people he serves, and respect for the profession he is proud to continue his work in.
