
Bennett J. Johnson III
Mr. Bennett Johnson III has over 30 years of holding various public and private sector fiscal and executive roles including serving as the City of Chicago’s Budget Director in the Office of Budget and Management. He specializes in managing company financial systems and controls, asset management, and in assessing both the qualitative and quantitative values of businesses. As Chicago’s Budget Director, he was responsible for executing the City’s $6 billion operating & $2 billion capital budgets for over 40 departments totaling more than 35,000 employees. He focused on management reforms that improved the City’s fiscal condition and increased taxpayer value. Recently, he was the Sustainability and Senior Asset Manager at Capri Capital, a real estate investment firm. He directly managed over $1.5 billion in luxury multi-family and retail assets. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Harvard University, his master’s degree in Industrial Relations from London School of Economics. He strongly believes in reaching out and giving back, serving on several non-for-profit boards.
